13 Best Hotels in Nosara for Every Budget

Nosara Costa Rica is a quaint surf town located in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. In Nosara, you can find great surf, unspoiled beaches, and delicious restaurants.

Due to its growing popularity, it can be difficult to find accommodations in Nosara, particularly during the high season in Costa Rica, from late November- April.

To make it a little easier to decide where to stay in Nosara, I’ve comprised this list of the best hotels in Nosara.

Starting with…

Best Budget Hotels in Nosara (Under $60/night)

Budget travel in Nosara? Does such a thing even exist?

After having spent several months on a very modest budget in Nosara myself, I can tell you that it does. It’s definitely not easy though!

There is a very limited number of budget hotels in Nosara, and they book out well in advance. If you’re planning a trip to Nosara on a budget, I highly recommend booking accommodations ASAP- especially if you’re visiting in the high season!

1. Nosara Beach Hostel

Nosara Beach Hostel
  • Price: $
  • Amenities: lockers, shower, surf racks, shared bathroom, kitchen, outdoor garden, free parking, massive common area, Wi-Fi, a night guard
  • Location: South Guiones, a 3 minute walk from the Baker’s Beach entrance.

Nosara Beach Hostel is my absolute FAVORITE budget hotel in Nosara. The hostel manager Dee is warm and accommodating, and the location is PERFECT for surfers- only a 3 minute walk from the surf.

This is not a party hostel. They enforce a strict lights out, quiet-time curfew at 10 pm every night. While that might be a downer for some people, it’s really great for surfers and yogis who want to get up early for the waves (or yoga class) in the morning.

This is the kind of hostel you can stay in for weeks at a time and not get burnt out.

Who is Nosara Beach Hostel best for?

Best for surfers and people who want a quiet yet social hostel on a budget!

2. 4 You Hostal

  • Price: $
  • Amenities: Wi-Fi,  kitchen, common space, massive bathrooms, securely locked premises, lockers
  • Location: North Guiones, about a 3 minute walk from restaurants and a grocery store, 10 minute walk from the Guiones North Beach Entrance

4-you Hostal is another great option for budget accommodations in Nosara. They have a few private rooms which are a great deal for the area.

They also have an 8-bed dorm with a few privacy curtains scattered throughout. Their beds are all single beds, no bunks which is definitely a perk if you don’t like bunk beds in a dorm.

Their kitchen and bathrooms are VERY nice and clean as far as hostels go.

The location is also prime. 4-you hostal is a very short walk to restaurants, bars, and the only grocery store in the area- in such a remote town, booking accommodations centrally is a HUGE perk.

Who is 4-You Hostel best for?

This is a great hotel in Nosara for budget travelers who still want to be close to all the action. Being able to walk to dinner, the beach, and the grocery store is huge, as the Nosara area can be difficult to navigate without transportation!

If you’re visiting Nosara on a budget, and want to meet people, 4-You Hostal is best for you.

Gabi’s place has an awesome location too. The rooms are located in a little plaza also called Gabi’s Place, where there are multiple restaurants, the only laundromat in the area, and it’s about a 10 minute walk from the beach.

You can’t really find a better deal for a private room in Nosara.
